2/10/2012 - Prayer Garden Special Edition Block of the Month (Embroidery In The Hoop)

Friday 12-4 pm $10
12:00 PM -4:00 PM

For our newest Special Edition, we have created something that is completely different from any of our other collections. Prayer Garden consists of 94 different blocks that are combined together to create a beautiful quilt. The designs range from bible verses to cute animals and gardening scenes. Each of the designs is truly different. The unique part is that the blocks are all different sizes. There are large and small squares and large and small rectangles that combine to make large blocks. Sixteen of these large blocks are then combined to make the large quilt. If you create the largest size quilt the top will be 64”x64”. Each of the blocks have a folded fabric border. When they are combined you will have a truly unique project. The designs were all digitized with a hand style running stitch. Instead of a single pass, these make 5-7 passes. The stitches look much thicker when they are complete. Even the large designs have low stitch counts so this is a fast running project. We also tried something that we have never done at Anita Goodesign and that isfabric painting. After the designs were embroidered, we went back and added highlights with fabric markers! On the following pages we will tell you everything you need to know about creating this quilt and we will even give you tips on painting fabric!

Steve Wilson

The retail price for this Special Edition Collection will be $89.95 when it is released November 1st, 2011. Orders placed by November 1st will receive the discounted price of only $79.95.

As an added bonus, if you pre-order this collection during this offer you will receive 8 “Prayer Garden Quilt Label Designs” for FREE!
